Guanghai Wang, PhD, is Clinical Psychologist, Sleep Specialist and Associated Professor at Department of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics, Pediatric Translational Medicine Institute, National Children’s Medical Center -Shanghai Children’s Medical Center, afflicted Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine.
Dr. Wang received PhD degree on Clinical Psychology at School of Psychology and Cognitive Science, East Normal University in 2015. As a joint PhD candidate and visiting scholar, he completed 16-month research and clinical training on Pediatric Sleep Medicine at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington DC during Oct. 2013 to Feb. 2015, under the supervision of Prof. Judith Owens and Prof. Daniel Lewin. He has been sparing no effort to promote psychosocial and sleep health in children and their family. He provides psychological and sleep assessment and intervention for children with sleep, mental and developmental problems at hospital, education and private settings, collaborating with families and multidisciplinary professionals. His research interests are sleep and socio-emotional development in typically developing children and children with autism spectrum disorder, as well as influencing factors and neurocognitive mechanisms. He has published more than 50 peer-reviewed original research. He is a member of Pediatric Sleep Medicine Committee, Chinese Medical Doctor Association, and Chinese Sleep Research Society.
