Professor Amanda Richdale a research fellow at the Olga Tennison Autism Research Centre, La Trobe University, Melbourne, where she is a founding staff member; she is also a psychologist (Educational & Developmental). Amanda has strong research interests both in autism and in sleep difficulties, most particularly sleep difficulties in autism. She has published some of the earliest work on sleep in autism and is an acknowledged international expert in this area. As well as IPSA, she is a member of the Australasian Sleep Association and the European Sleep Research Society. Amanda is also on the editorial board of Research in Autism Spectrum Disorders and is the autism editor for Current Developmental Disorder Reports. Amanda currently leads the Autism CRC longitudinal Study of Australian School Leavers (15-25 years) with Autism which examines a range of social, emotional and health variables, including sleep.
